Andy joined TEP in 2005, and while he has wide-ranging mechanical design experience, he has become a leader in winery and cannabis facility design. Andy’s expertise and passion has led him to be involved in standards writing committees, including the published ANSI/ASABE/ASHRAE’s joint standard EP653 “HVAC used for Indoor Plant Environments without Sunlight” (that received ASABE’s 2022 New Standard Development Award), and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) – UL 4402 on Indoor Air Quality in Buildings and Facilities Utilized for the Cultivation, Production and Processing of Cannabis. While actively participating in the standards development for American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) – Committee D37 on Cannabis; and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 420 Fire Protection of Cannabis Growing and, Processing Facilities.
